Fused Glass

Join us for fused glass classes led by local artist Sunny Flynn Stewart! Sunny works with glass to create colorful jewelry, innovative plateware, sculptural works and gift items. She loves to bring artistic life to functional pieces, with an imaginative sense of style and color.

Fused glass projects are created by firing multiple layers of transparent, opalescent and iridized glass in the kiln to achieve various design and textural elements. The plateware undergoes a final firing wherein the glass is slumped into a functional shape through a use of a variety of molds and fiber materials. All class prices include materials, instruction and 1 - 2 firings depending on project.

Fused Glass Plate Class - Advanced. $150 per student, Payment due at registration. Pendant Class - Basic. Create 3 unique, colorful pendants including all materials, tools, instruction and findings. Absolutely no previous experience required. $75 per student. Payment due at registration.

Open Studio - Former glass students choose from a menu of ideas to create a one of a kind piece of work. $25 deposit due at registration - deposit goes toward finished piece, prices vary.

Hand building with Clay

Explore some Hand building techniques, projects and resources for the clay artist in you. Some of these are so simple and have been in use since man first touched clay, creating both pottery and art. So come and touch your hand to clay and add your chapter to the ceramic story of man. We will teach you all you need to know. Great for beginners!

Mosaics

You'll find everything you need to succeed with mosaics at Pinky's! Scholars will tell you the word mosaic means "crazy". That seems appropriate for this ancient process that transforms the ordinary into beautiful art.
Start with a mirror, frame or other base from our broad line of popular surfaces. Then browse the "candy store" of mosaic tesserae - the materials you'll apply to your surface. Create a design as simple or complex as you like. When your gluing is done, take home grout to finish your work. It's as easy as icing a cake with your fingers!

Scrapbisqueing (scrapbooking on pottery bisque)
Do your own scrapbisqueing project with our help at any time - no group needed.
Email us your high contrast photo in advance. (Best with light skin on a dark background or dark skin on a light background, because all art will be printed in Black And White and will receive a Crackled Finish!)
Let us know the size you want your photo printed (about 4 inches to wrap around a mug or up to a full page for a platter).
